The Certain Uncertainty

When I woke up
and was able to smile

at the beautiful mess
that is the world;

I knew that chaos
would settle itself

into an elegant symphony
of rhythm and grace.

A song sung out
in silent reverberation;

a tune made whole
on melodious emptiness.

There is a something
in the nothingness of
space and time.

There is a something
that lures you out;

calling you just over
a barely visible line

in the sands of time

that somehow are your

life; and the

cumbersome pieces of what

used to be your past.
