It was not long ago
I knew the word CO-MINGLED differently.
It was used to tell a tale
of God come down to earth
and living in a body;
co-mingled God and man,
but not confused.
In one space
sharing things, back and forth
like apartment mates do,
but still distinct.
Today I saw the word on our
recyclable bin. Plastics share space
with aluminum and glasses - both
clear and colored.
Two thousand years. That's about
how long it takes to figure out how to
recycle God. What will he look like
in another two thousand, co-mingled years.
