There are days
when it is easier to find
the pieces of my me
than on other days
when they hide in
obscurity.
A shadow just behind
my image, a sliver
of me just out of reach
of the whole.
The days are by far
the rarest when I may
muster
full attendance of
all the many parts.
Those days I celebrate,
those days we celebrate
that we are more likely
to uncover some glory.
Our likelihood of transcendence
can only come when we allow
the many shades of we
to be present and whole with
each other. And, not
just in my me,
This poem of mine is perfectly paired with a piece by Local Artist MALCOLM CORLEY entitled “MALCOLM”. Malcolm is 22 years old.
