first, pushing out the
boundaries of my morning
on the road of hiking and
adventure. One step
after another making its
way on the landscape
of my soul.
Somewhere
as the sun was rising, my poet
wakened to say the
day into being. Colors fresh
and heavy on the dew of
creating.
Then the partner rouses,
waking she who has become
my one, to ready her for our
day of ambling on new trails.
Quietly climbing the stairs of
the interior pieces and coordinates
of my me.
One, and then another of the
samplings of why I have
come, emerges and lays itself
out in time for a moment before
it flies.
